MAGIC COLLAR is a bushing/cover made of aluminum material. It fills in the gaps (clearance) between the bolts used to hold the sub frame and the body. These gaps come from the car manufacturer’s design as an allowance, allowing bolts to be inserted quickly and easily during production, which reduces assembly time on the factory line.

Every car leaves the factory with a gap like this, more or less depending on the model and brand. These gaps are the enemy of driving performance and handling.
MAGIC COLLAR works by reducing the gaps in the bolt holes that hold the sub frame to the body. This directly affects the car’s control performance, both in straight-line driving and in corners.
Cornering Performance
Reducing the clearance at the sub frame mounting bolts helps the steering feel more responsive, more precise, with more linear steering feedback. This change is most noticeable during turn-in, the moment the car transfers weight while cornering. After the turn-in point, once weight transfer is complete, the role of MAGIC COLLAR decreases because cornering performance at that stage depends mainly on the tires and shock absorbers.
Riding Comfort
Besides improving turning performance, MAGIC COLLAR also improves riding comfort. The aluminum bushing acts as a barrier between the body and the sub frame. Aluminum is less dense than steel, so it acts as a damper that helps absorb shock caused by sudden impacts such as uneven road joints and expansion gaps. Without this cushioning, sudden shocks can cause the car to bounce, known as the spring effect. Using aluminum bushings helps absorb this shock load and improves riding comfort, especially noticeable in cars fitted with harder shock absorber setups.

Magic Collar is simple in shape but clever in design. It is made from a special aluminum alloy, and its performance is unbelievable for such a small part. The basic principle is chassis strengthening and added rigidity without compromising the car’s inherent handling characteristics.
The Magic Collar kit is simple and low cost to fit. It eases into position without affecting the basic geometry of the body. Bolt holes through the chassis panel and sub frame are normally oversized, as they were designed for ease of production at the factory. When a car leaves the factory, everything is new and tight, and the chassis hardly moves. Over time, the bolts become slightly looser and movement between the panels begins. This is why an older vehicle fitted with new bushes, shocks, and springs still doesn’t behave like a new car.

Magic Collar is an aluminum washer with a tapered outer edge that increases adhesion on the thinner flange portion in the middle. It fits between the moving panels, and with a properly sized bolt, it is crushed into place when tightened, joining the two panels and stopping movement.

Magic Collar cures chassis movement, improves handling, reduces road noise, reduces vibration, improves braking, and makes the car safer in an accident.
What is a Subframe Collar Kit?
The Subframe Collar was originally developed for racing to fill the manufacturing tolerance gap left by the factory for production efficiency, before being produced for commercial vehicles.

Just like some mass-market sports cars are fitted with LSD-type components, the Subframe Collar works on a similar principle: making power transmission more direct and immediate. The original factory tolerances allow power transmission to turn into twisting force under stress, so the shock absorber cannot absorb all impact forces at once. This can cause a double-bounce feeling and slower road feedback. Filling this tolerance significantly reduces this issue, giving a more solid, planted feel on the road.
At present, Magic Collar kits are available for hundreds of car models.

Yes. The original positioning arm is connected to the sub frame, so after correcting the sub frame's position, the alignment angles also need to be corrected to prevent uneven wear.
No. Subframe Collar only allows the shock absorber and chassis to absorb force more directly and quickly. There may be a short adjustment period as the change can feel different from before, but it is an improvement, not a fault.
No. The tolerance of our products is calculated to an accuracy of 0.01mm, and the aluminum alloy used is softer than the car body's steel. Installation should still be carried out by a professional chassis workshop.
